Vintage Handmade Rice Linen Tea Tablecloth Napkin Set Cross-stitch Embroidered with Villages and Trees from either China, Japan or the PhilippinesThis is a beautiful handmade embroidered set including a tea table cloth and 4 matching napkins. The entire set is made of a lovely translucent pale green color fabric that I am told is rice linen, a gauzy or Organza fabric, with blue edging.The tablecloth features two designs each repeated twice. The first is a Chinese scene with a bridge, house and man on a donkey. Under the bridge is another china man in a boat. The second scene on the tablecloth is a triple Chinese Pagoda in bright yellow, blue and green. The edges are finished beautifully with blue stitched. The table cloth is approximately 34" by 35".The napkins each are each embroidered with a Chinese / Japanese stylized bonsai tree inset in the corner of each napkin, offset by delicate hand-stitched blue edging. The napkins are each approximately 9" square. This set was brought from Asia by my grandmother.
